And yes, I clearly think ARs create scenarios where certain bucks that should have been taken out get an automatic pass. That's not really disputable.

Nothing is perfect.

These post crack me up, why is everyone so worried about what other people do? Some people like to manage, some people like to hunt and kill deer. Everyone pays for a license just like the next person.

cheers
Funn how Texas has had more deer than any other state in the US even before ARs, not like we needed them to improve numbers.

hrm....seems like a random 13" (unlucky 13) really shouldnt be a determining factor. Takes away from personal preference.

Curly, I have rethought my position on this. I previously thought that if you lived to be 325 yrs. old you would be tall enough to play in the NBA. I now think you will have to live to be 375 to be tall enough.

Hoytman - The jury has ruled. They're awesome.

The book is closed on this one.

Maybe you should appeal if you don't like it, Curly.

Don't shoot the messenger. I only relay the news, I don't make it.

I believe only ones who think they are awesome have been the ones that have always hunted that way, or have seen results where they hunt, or both.

If it's Brown, It's Down......
If it's 13" inside spread or better, its down.....
If it has at least on unbranched antler, it is down.....
If it has no antlers, it is down.......
If it's in season, it's down.....
If it's eating my corn, it's down.....
If it fits in my freezer, it's down.....
If it's good on the smoker, it's down.....
If I can make jerky out of it, it's down.....

Only in America does flag + rifle + deer = cheers

Your eyesight starts getting weaker but your ability to
see through people's BS gets much better.

I think game cams are helping more than people give them credit for. A lot easier to hold off on a basket rack 8pt when there are 135+" deer under your feeder when you aren't there.

AR's remind me of this joke...not saying people who are for AR's are dems but it seems like if a hunter doesn't like AR's, he wants deer for the meat. If a hunter likes AR's, he wants them for everyone.

On one of the places I hunt I like them and am for them. On another place, I hate them. It should be for the owner to decide. Not the state.

If a Republican doesn’t like guns, he doesn’t buy one.
If a Democrat doesn’t like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.

If a Republican is a vegetarian, he doesn’t eat meat.
If a Democrat is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for
everyone.

If a Republican is homosexual, he quietly leads his life.
If a Democrat is homosexual, he demands legislated respect.

If a Republican is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his
situation.
A Democrat wonders who is going to take care of him.

If a Republican doesn’t like a talk show host, he switches channels.
Democrats demand that those they don’t like be shut down.

If a Republican is a non-believer, he doesn’t go to church.
A Democrat non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced.

If a Republican decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping
for it, or may choose a job that provides it.
A Democrat demands that the rest of us pay for his.

The beauty of the Second Ammendment is it won't be needed until they try and take it.

if a republican is a hunter that doesn't like AR's he hunts anyways and still follows the law

if a democrat is a hunter that doesn't like AR's he probalby hunts anyway but whines and cries incessantly on internet hunting boards.

If a person likes ARs and others don't, he should be happy because we all have to hunt the way he does. Sounds like a dicatorship to me.

Whine and cry about anything other than ARs (like Obama, the heat, Jorts, etc.) and that's okay, gripe about ARs and you're a crybaby....idiocracy. 2cents

LMAO.... help me gooberment, I can't grow big deer and we need you to step in. We don't have the acreage to manage a core group like other hunters who are holding 80% of the deer we see.

could go that way with it?

hey dont get me wrong there are scores of game laws I disagree with, but I dont start umpteen threads a week about it. I do on the other hand contact the TPWD commison through E-Mail or phone and express my opinion to the people that made the law. I thinks we may need a chicken little section( or you could call it a an AR disscussion section)

PS- I personally hate the AR's I think they should have just made it illegal to kill any deer under 3.5 years in the area adjacent to my deer lease

Serious question, not trying to stir the pot...

For those of you against ARs. What is your main objection?

Just wondering if it is because you can't shoot what you want, if the deer population is being depleted in your area because more does are taken now, or....?

There is no rational objection to ARs. It's been proven.
