I would think bobcat. A few years back I had one sitting on log a few yards from my pop up making some gosh awful noises (smiliar to what is in the recording)... went on for several minutes and then finally her 2 younguns showed up and she shut up and they all left.

Idk but I believe if I had just gotten in my bow stand and it was still dark, that I would be back at the truck in no time.

I've never heard it. Heard something similar one morning, only it wasn't a bunch of times, just a couple. It will sure make a man think of a bunch of different scenarios, lol.

Sportsman & Hwy Man are probably right. Here are some good fox vocals: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J6NuhlibHsM&feature=relatedThe op's recording sounds a lot like the second one, the "Vixen Scream", lol. I see very few foxes where I live and hunt, or maybe I'm just unlucky? Edit: LOL, that's funny HT, kinda goes with the "vixen scream".

It's an Obamanite that is out there making that sound. It's lost...leave it be and pray it doesn't find its way out.
