been real happy with the Nolser Custom Ammo in my 25-06.

I'd look at the Partiton or Accubond

I have 2 differnt 260s. The Remington factory stuff did not shoot well in either but if you reload the brass is good. If you want to stick with factory, see if Federal Premium has a loading as it is usually as good as it gets for reasonably priced factory ammo.

It appears factory ammo is limited for the 260.
Few brands and mostly 140 grain.
I reload for mine, but if I wanted to shoot factory ammo, I would try Federal Fusion 120 gr for Texas deer. I have read good things about it.

I wish Remington would offer more rifles in the 260. I have been wanting one of these for awhile.

Federal now offers their Fusion line of ammo in 260 like OJVZ said. Its a 120 gr Fusion @ 2950 (advertised) fps. Seems like it would be a super deer/hog load.

I shoot very few factory loads as I handload nearly everything, but the Fusions I have tried in a couple rifles were VERY accurate. I shot a mature aoudad ram through both shoulders with a Fusion and got complete penetration.

If I was looking for a factory load for my .260 the Federal Fusion is the FIRST load I would try.

"120 gr Fusion @ 2950"

that's the one I would try first!

I shoot about 2000 rounds of .260 a year in my main competition rifle. If you want to reload a highly accurate hunting round for it, use an A-Max bullet with H-4350. I prefer the 140gr A-Max using a 1:8.5 twist barrel. You don't have to load it hot to get great ballistics - just keep it around 2800fps.

The .260 is one of my favorite all time rounds. There just isn't a whole lot of factory ammo that takes advantage of it's performance.
