Ok so I know im about to open a can of worms here, but im torn between several guns for my first pocket pistol. I have alot of experience with glocks, XDs, 1911 etc. But almost no experience with the smaller 380s. I have decided on a 380 because they are small and i will be more likely to actually carry it than say a glock 26. So if any of yall have direct experience with the kel-tec p3at, ruger lcp, or the bersa 380 help me out. I can afford one of those 3 now, or save for the new sig p238. Any experience is appreciated.

Bersa is too big and heavy for pocket carry. I've tried it and it's just too much. Between the Kel Tec and the Ruger, I'd go Ruger. You might also look at the Taurus TCP, it's getting some really great reviews.

Ill have to see if i can find one of those tcps around here, Fit and finish looks better than ruger and kel tec for sure.

i carry a ruger lcp in a bianchi nemisis pocket holster and love it. i also have a xd-45 tactical with streamlight light/laser,and extra loaded mags i keep in the truck.

I have a Kahr p380. Once upon a time I had the keltec. I would look at the Sig or the Kahr but they are expensive

I carry a Ruger LCP with a Crimson Trace laser sight. I am very pleased with it.

Ruger LCP with the pocket clip here. Does not ever leave my pocket. To the average person it just looks like a knife clipped in my front pocket.

I have compared a KelTec and Ruger LCP side by side, and the fit and finish of the Ruger is much better than the KelTec. I have carried a LCP for a couple of years and like the gun as a whole, but the slide on mine has rusted from being carried in my sweaty pocket.

About a month ago, I bought a Kahr PM9 and absolutely LOVE IT. It has a quarter inch longer grip, a quarter inch longer barrel, and is four hundredth of an inch wider. Mine has night sights, and the trigger is hands down better than the Ruger and KelTec. My only real "problem" is that it is heavier than my LCP, but I sure do like carrying a 9mm again.

The PM9 is an awesome gun, but it is more than double the price of the LCP and P3AT...

I carry the Sig P238 quite a bit. Lightweight at 15.2 oz. Shoots extremely well and I'm very happy with it. Like the others have said though, it's more pricey.

before you buy a 380, go do an ammo search locally

I had a Kel-tec, but sold it and bought a Ruger LCP. Ruger feels better than the Kel-tec, but pinches my finger when the trigger resets. Bought a Diamondback .380 last week and it by far my favorite. Looks just like a baby Glock.

I only paid $565 for mine with night sights, and I believe the PM9 is more than double the quality of the P3AT for sure. Other than a sucky trigger and rusty slide, my LCP is a fine little pistol.

I have both the Kel-Tec P3AT and the Ruger LCP. They are both fine guns for light concealed carry. My Kel-Tec gets carried more because of the hard chromed finish.

not only have exp with kel tec 380 but mine is going up for sale with the ammo i have for it and holster 260.00 great conceal gun just need the money

why a tiny 380 for a "truck gun"?

Ended up gettin a taurus TCP 380 and love it so far, 200rds downrange with 4 jams total in the 1st 100...the second hundred has been smooth and relatively accurate! Thanks for the input guys!

Glad to hear that the second 100 was FTF / FTE free Kevin. Never shot a TCP but I've heard its very similar to a LCP. How's the trigger on that guy?

I like the trigger better than the kel tec and LCP, it seems lighter and smoother but just as long. Other than looks and the slide lock i think they are pretty much the same gun. I wasnt really thinking about a pocket gun untill i held milts LCP with the laser...that thing is sweet!
