Nice link. Anybody here use TAC powder in for their AR loads?

No, but I want to try it. Strosfan was trying to get a group but together to get it for 12.99 a pound. I have read good things about it.

TAC works well for the AR platform.

Gummi, I am working on that exact load right now. Here is the link for Sierra bolt gun chart. http://accurateshooter.net/Downloads/sierra223rembolt.pdf.
For some reason Sierra has the load info for varget with the bolt guns. Let me know how your loads work out.

So I guess your shooting these out of 1:7 twist? Might be some handy info for me to write down!

My heavy bullet AR is a 1:8 twist with a 5.56 NATO chamber.

I also have a 24" 1:9 NATO that does well with everything up to my 69 grain match loads. I doubt it will stabilize the Barnes 70 grainer. I haven't tried it, it has a longer profile than the 69 and 75 grain match bullets.

I have a 1:10 ultramatch .223 chamber that just eats 45-60 grain bullets. It shoots bugholes with moly coated 50 grain TNTs loaded with 25.4 grains of H322 and a CCI400. This one clocks 3250 in my 20" 1:10 and 3370 in my 24" 1:9. I also have a load with moly coated 55 gr Winchester soft points that group well with 24.7 grains of H322.

Due to the high volume of shooting, the 1:9 and 1:10 are designated moly guns. I like not having to scrub copper after a long day of shooting. The 1:8 is firing bare copper for now.

That's a hot load for sure. Why is 2.235 your max length? The mag can take that bullet at 2.26 pretty easily.

Ramshot TAC? It's actually 12.99 a kilo at Midway.usa. I am thinking of putting in an order for 10kg which is the maximum they will sell of it.

If anyone wants a pound, I can sell a can or two from my lot. With all the hazard fees and shipping it comes to around $17 I think per pound. DFW only.
