Bought a new in the box 2008 Bowtech Commander and had it all rigged out with the rip cord drop away rest and true glow super slam lighted 5 pin sights (for my bad eyes), Octane stabilizer and quiver. I went with the commander because of the longer limbs and axis, a little heavier but a lot more forgiving. I am now able to actually group at 50 yards, haven't had time to set the 60 yard pin yet but 20, to 50 is thumping. Going on an Archery Elk hunt in Colorado and trying to get dialed in and ready! Got my range set up at the house now all I need is time, time to shoot more.

I bought the Admiral last year and I really like it.
I put 800 pounds pounds of vermin swine on the ground the first
two evenings I hunted with it.
How is the fishing?

Thanks, liking the bow a lot. Can't wait to hunt with it. The fishing is awesome at Whitney. Catching pretty quick limits. Wish the water temp would come on up and the thermocline set in so I can start using the new downriggers and quit getting up ay 2am to go catch bait.

What unit are you elk hunting?
Def. practice everyday. My buddy missed an elk last year @ 40 yards. But he stalked them into an open field. With the herd of elk he wasn't going to push his luck.
