SWEET!!! Just googled it and they have job postings on several sites, so if you are looking for employment that might be the place... Says they will open in July... I'm guessing they'll go in the old target building or the Kroger building by Academy. Can't wait for some cheap Wolf ammo...

Not that awesome..they were among the first in this area to start hiking prices and were among the highest prices during the "Great Ammo Price Gouging Period" of 2009. I'll never buy or recommend anyone else buy from them ever again. I know a LOT of people (including me) that got burned on bulk ammo orders, not honoring the original price at the time of the order, hiking prices after the order was placed and refusing to ship unless the difference was paid.

Dont know why they are called cheaper than dirt, even before the great ammo scare they were the highest place I know to buy ammo; even higher than Gander mountain and thats BAD!!!!!!!!

Yeah I think the dirt they are talking about must be in downtown Tokyo with a sky scraper sitting on it.

Plus 1.. won't do business there again unless they are the only supplier of what I need.

Have checked several items online compared to them. The latest a small light to go on my compact .40. They were always higher. A great place to get things you can't find elsewhere, but with the net, they're not always the best unless you need it now.

I drove by it yesterday and swung through the parking lot. I can't tell anything of it other than the sign on the building. I was hoping they would be open so I could stock up on throwing knives, German Army blankets, and gladiator helmets for my secret Y2K bunker.

Are Cheaper than Dirt - the online company - and Cheaper than Dirt - the physical store - the same thing? I thought I remembered them being split a couple of years ago and not being owned by the same people anymore. I may be completely wrong, but that is what I remember. Also, there is no "locate a store" feature on the website, which leads me to believe they are not affiliated. As far as the website goes, their price gouging last year has led to me no longer being a customer.

They had legal issues at one time, and the separation was a result of that.

Also, I hope they transfer some of that poor, attitude filled, not so friendly customer service from Fort Worth. Been in the store a couple of times and decided last trip not to waste my time or effort. I wouldnt buy from those folks even if they were the only source after the dose of attitude I received.

I do hope the Mckinney store will be different.

yah the owner of the website started the store and magazine and then sold the store to a local out there. The new stores are going to be started by the guy that owns the magazine and website

My advice, check online at CTD website, find what you want, then walk into the store and ask for it at the catalog pick up desk.

Seriously, I picked up a 36" MOLLE bag for my AR there... $69 on the rack at the store. Same bag, $44 at the catalog pick up. Explain that to me?

Not a place I shop at much. Which is a shame, because back in the day both Omaha's and Cheaper than dirt were a blast to browse in.
