My uncle has a place North of Hico in Erath county. First let me say that he is the middle man, but a rare one that does NOT make any money off the place. He got the place from his wifes boss 7 or 8 years ago I believe and the price has not changed since then. He is simply a money collector for the owner. This place is not for everyone, it wasn't for me as I thought there were too many people on it. It is a little under 400 acres, and it is year round access. There will be 6 hunters on the place at $550 per gun for year round access. It is just now getting pig signs. It does have electric at the camp. It is a mix of cedars, oak, and mesquite. $3300 for 400 acres between 2 guys is still fairly cheap now days. 6 guns would be too many, but to each his own!

If 2 or 3 guys went to the land owner and spoke to him directly it could probably be done for next year. My uncle, I believe he told me this will be his last year to be the money collector. So I am sure he could get you into contact with the owner next year.
