Wisker Bisucit is a beginners rest that works but effects accuracy and speed. I would hesitate to call me a beginner and for the next guy who said it caters to poor form come on. I've killed several deer, coyotes and a couple of hogs with my biscuit not to mention rabbits, coons, armadillos, squirrels, and about half a dozen bag targets. I changed from a WB to limbdriver last year and I did not notice any change in my form. Not sure what your rest would have to do with your form.
I am a proud United States Air Force NCO and I thank all of you for your support!!!

And it has ZERO to do with anyone's form(I don't even understand that comment). Tried drop-aways and they are great! If you like them use them. I just like having less moving parts on my hunting set-up.

so what is the reason to need an enclosed rest? Mostly for spot and stalk. Some people like to walk around with an arrow nocked and cocked. A containment rest makes this much easier. My trophy taker pronghorn is a drop away and works just fine for walking with an arrow though, I just put my thumb over it and good to go.

so what is the reason to need an enclosed rest? Personal preference maybe? Or the ability to hold your bow at any angle without the arrow falling off the rest. IMO - anything that touches the fletching can't have a positive effect on arrow flight. I wouldn't personally have one, but I have buddies that swear by 'em and wouldn't have anything else.

I get that. I have friends who shoot them and swear by them too, but a cpl have made the mistake of saying it's so the arrow doesn't fall off the rest while they're drawing. That translates "poor form". To each his/her own, shoot what you're comfy with.

the statement "what does my WB have to do with my form" pretty much indicates to me that you shoot with poor form. Not calling anyone on here a poor shooter or bad shot, but it is probably because you are unaware of proper shooting form or that it even matters. Sure you can probably hot a bulls from 20 yds most of the time.... BUT when you start stretching the range to 40+ are you consistently shooting arrows in the same spot?? I dont mean can you shot an alright group. I mean every time you draw and shoot does your arrow hot its mark in a VERY relatively close proximity to the arrow/arrows before it?
I am a fairly inconsistent shooter to tell you the truth, I do not have perfect form. I have formed BAD habits over my years of shooting and within the last year I have began trying to correct them. My next investment will be a torqueless or focus grip to try and correct my actual grip on my bow. Perhaps that will be the final correction to start hitting the golf tee (I shoot at a golf tee stuck in a target from 20 yds)
ac
p.s. WB=contact with arrow-bad hostage= contact and bristles deteriorate over life of rest-bad
I will never shoot anything other than a drop away again. I took my Trophy Taker top slot off of my old bow and still shoot it today! ...this thread went from a most popular to "what rest I use" thread...
Most popular IMO= Ripcord or Limbdriver

Not trying to hurt anybody's feelings about their WB and not personal attacking anybody. I wouldn't put the wb on my bowfishing rig.
I have done my research and have it narrowd down to 3 choices
Thanks for yalls help

pat..
Limbdriver is simple and you will never have to worry about it being too slow or effecting your cam timing..
what bow are you shooting?

single cam... either of the three
Dual cam especially speed bow limbdriver... just my 2 cents

plus with the limberdriver you never have to worry about the arrow popping off if you draw to quick

Most popular IMO= Ripcord or Limbdriver And your statement still doesn't answer the question as to why you think putting a different rest...ANY REST on a bow can effect your form? Can it affect the result of your shot...perhaps but your form? Please explain?

Think what he is saying is rests that have more contact will expose bad form more...

I would say that the most popular rest is a QAD. I used them for a while but recently switched to a Trophy Ridge Drop Slide.

I must be damn good then because it doesn't seem to affect mine. Spot and stalk pigs in the tall grass or brush and you'll see why they work well. And my biscuit is quieter, less expensive, easier to set up and tune with fewer moving parts than most drop away rests.
You claim you are not a consistent shooter and have form issues then speak like you are an expert on it. I've been killing animals with my bow for over 20 years and I'm no expert but I know that the biscuit works well for me on my hunting and bowfishing bows. I know it has some draw backs, like the 4" to 5" groups I shoot at 50 yards would be smaller with a drop away or fork style rest but hey, no rest is perfect. It works for me and a lot of other hunters. Use what works best for you.

Lets bring all of this into prespective here and clarify a few things here ! if You are a new shooter things to stay away from are Bows with low brace heights and rest that have full containment!Reason the longer a arrow stays on the string or the pass thru of a containment type rest the greater the amount of error that is applied ie. poor form, arm drop hand tork so on I don't have perfect form I grew up and shot with some folks who did and knew how to tune a bow. for 4 years I walked the range with Terry Ragsdale bought My 1st pse Lazer Mag off His Dad Robert at His house in White Oak Texas before they Went to Work for Pete Shepley in Arizona. A wb is fine for hunting Your not planinmg on shooting 80 yards are You? the Whole purpose of bowhunting is to get close? now if I'm bulleye or 3-d shooting I'll pass at 80 yard's I need all the help I cxan get. It's a choice of personal preference.
