I wanted to get a Yellow and name it Oprah, because they only act black part of the time.

Good looking Dog. I'm not sure what you meant by your second post though?

I think what he meant is that a Yellow lab only acts like a black lab (the btter dog ) part of the time. But he knows Yellow labs rock!!

Correct!

I like to give Guy and Wayne a hard time about their dogs being Yellow. Some guys think that the only lab to have is a black one. I have a female Choc also. Just a jab at them.

Chocolate is better it is the mixture of black and yellow

It's not skybusting, if you make the shot.

I think the real story goes kind of like this: Bull pounding your dog in my Gator Trax while I am towing your Go-Devil back to the docks!!!

Hey turtle, on a serious note, that is a great looking pup! You going to train her yourself or are you going to send her off for training. Just curious.

I am doing the puppy work with her until about 4 months. I work with her just doing marks right now, a bumper, bird, and then one more bumper. I am following Shawn Dustin's Retrevier Fever Puppy Video. I had the family watch the DVD a few times so we are all on the same page.

At 4 months she will go to Mike Johnson at Johnson Kennels for about 6 months.

Turtle,
If you have the option, keep her in the house. Lost my chocolate lab several years ago to heat stroke. Had covered kennel, lots of water, and mist system on timer but he got overheated trying to chew through the fence. He was hard headed and had chewed through before when he wanted out. So keep her in the house and spoil her. If shes a good hunting dog, she'll hunt regardless. Good luck with the training.
