Anybody ever use these things? If so, what was your opinion of them. Did they really save the paint on ur dekes? Were to easy to get off and on? Did the stretch cord make it through a couple of seasons?

I saw them last year and they were a pain to use because they grab everything, if you were moving a dozen together they seemed to get tangled up. But as far being easy to use and storing away your anchors, then ya they work great.

I have the Ace ones and I love them. Way easier when picking up decoys and keeping them untangled.

I like them. I have them on half my decoys, and will get more.
I don't like rig em right. I tried them for half a season and ditched them,

I like this type of decoy anchor and have used it on my buddies decoys many times. It works well. But I have all mine done as Tx Rig or Rig Em Right - which I find to be even better.

I'll mostly be walking in. Sounds like the general consensus is they're decent enough for what I need 'em for. Good thing too 'cause I just ordered 5 dozen.

I agree that texas rig is perfect for boats, but these ace anchors are awesome for walkin hunts.
Important though. If you want them to last... and they are expensive. UNWIND the elastic part during the offseason. It is a pain, but if you don't you will replace the elastic part much sooner.

Another vote for them. If you have long lines on decoys and nice decoys you don't want the paint knocked off, there is no better option in my opinion. I have 2 dozen rigged with 15-20' of line in 12 slot bags. Ace Anchors work great for these. I also have a bunch Texas rigged, but you can't hunt deep with them. Both have their place. Just depends on how you hunt.
Like TNduckhunter said. Don't leave them stretched in the off-season. Also, don't store in a very hot environment like an attic and use Armor All on them if you want them to last many years!

Yes! Prolongs them from cracking in this TX heat during the summer. Also works on your wader boots

I didnt feel like throwing the money at those things, so made own wiht 400 lb mono weights and crimps. Did 3.5 dozen for around 35 bucks. I read a review on rig em, and they seemed to have light swivels one poster said...?

well, i got all my rigging supplies in friday from Ace. was able to rig up 6 dozen dekes in less than 2 days. i liked the idea of the rig 'em right system and the texas rig system, but 90% of my hunts are walks in on public land. this seemed to be the best system for me. appreciate everyones input.
