I am needing some new hunting boots and wanted to see what y'all suggest. I am looking for something that will keep me warm in the winter months but will not be too hot during summer. Are there any boots that offer removable insulation?

i like my rocky snake boots. not to hot in the summer months while at the lease but they are warm enough to stay in the stand during the cold times. plus they are waterproof and only cost about 100 bucks.

http://www.foreverlast.com/storeset/simplestore.htmlI have had my Foreverlast snake boots since before they hit the shelves early last year. I can tell you they are extremely light weight, durable, dry, and very, very comfortable. I have lots of problems with my feet do to diabetes and the only tennis shoes I can wear for a full day are very expensive New Balance and my cowboy boots are custom made, super soft full quill ostrich. I will state it here that these $170 boots are more comfortable then either the NB or the custom boots...........NO JOKE! If I could wear them to work, I WOULD.
High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

My father-in-law got me a pair of Rocky's a few years ago. They are great cold weather boots but hunting in Texas there are only a few times I get to wear them. If it's not really cold my feet sweat too much. I can't remember the exact model but I think they were in the $100-$125 range. Good boots though.

Thanks for the input. I had seen the rockys and was leaning toward them. I will look up the others now to help me make up my mind.

Go rubber La Crosse, with insulation if you're a softy. Scent free and extremely comfortable.

Rocky corn stalkers- Got them on sale this time of year; always buy your cammo and cold weather gear during summer and you will save a $hit load.
My boots retail $179 paid $80

I have: Non-insulated boots for warm weather Mildly-insulated boots for chilly weather. About 40 degress or so. Heavy-insulated boots for Cold weather. Below 35.
I usually pack all 3 pair during hunting season. During spring/summer it's the non-insulated...

I love my Danners. Best boots I have ever had. Need to send them in for their refurb program though.

I love my Danners. Best boots I have ever had. x2. I used to be a firm believer in Rocky boots.... That was until I tried on a pair of Danner's. FYI - Do a search for "Boots" in the Hunting Gear section. There's quite a few threads that might be worth reading through before you make a decision.

Danner
Not only does Danner have great customer service, they make a great boot as well. The certainly stand behind their products.
The Everlast boots appear to be made just like the old Danner Sharptail Covey snake boots that Danner quit making.

Danner. While outfitting for elk, mule deer, whitetails and hunting predators across the southwest USA have found nothing that will compete. Adios, Gary

Did not pay to much for any of them. It is good to have a extra pair with you. I actually had a old pair that I lost the sole on while hunting so having a extra pair is great.
