finally scored a winchester 94 src 30-30 made in 1908, shes in great shape, rifiling looks good plan to take her out see what bullet loads she likes best 150 or 170. can not wait till deer season being made in 1908 ill bet theres alot of history in her been packed horseback ill bet if she could only talk...

Very nice. After 1924 the nomenclature changed to Model 94.

Very nice rifle!! As long as you take good care of it, there is no reason not to hunt with it. This year I would like to take out my 1876 in 45-60 for deer and hogs. It was made in 1882 and I found some black powder loads for it that will be just fine for that type of work!!

just an update on the ol gal, been oiling her wood everyweek its looking great, nice dark wood with grain, plan to take her to the range next week and run some 170gr bullets through her see what she still has left in her, ill post results then try some 150's sat last night in my recliner and watched john wayne the cowboys and held it wife thought i was nuts..... they just dont get it

ok guys, took it to the ranger yesterday, shot 170gr through it, at 50yrds was grouping then decent but 8in high and to the left, ideas?
