My father in law is hosting a field trial this weekend in Rockport. Anyone on here going? I think it's the coastal bend retriever club. He actually made nationals this past year. I'm supposed to go shoot for him.

I think the open. He brought Blackwood dog food to texas and is a dist.

Dog's name is "nick", fox red lab. He got 18th or 16th.

i dont know if I would be bragging about that dog food,I was told that Bill scraeder was the first in texas to start feeding it.(it doesnt matter though)I tried it for a VERY short time but got off.It works for others so to each his own.The nat'l doesnt have places it has a winner,finalist and the rest goes off what series he went out in.There are 10 series.I am not familiar with Nick but I bet he is a very good dog to make it that far.Is his name Van Gogh?

Yes, van gogh. That's it. He was the 16th or so left in the nat. that's why I say that. I'm not a big dog person. If my wife and I go, we will probably be in kayaks fishing the water that backs up to his land there in Rockport. Pat Kenny is his name. If the weather is crappy, we won't go though.

never heard of the BLACKWOOD food, just looked it up, the BLACKWOOD 7000 MPD is 34% protein. I thought I was feeding a high protein feed w/ ProPlan at 30%.

The ingrediants list looks good also on BLACKWOOD 7000 MPD, might have to do some more research on that one.

Again, I am not a big dog guy, but my father in law is. He said it is by far the best food money can buy. No cornmeal or fillers, real product. There are different formulas for different dog lifestyles and he says you notice a difference almost immiediately. Super premium dog food.

I dont know enough about dog food, actully know not much at all, just the basics. All I look for is the protein and fat amounts, and also the first few ingredients to make sure it is not just a bunch of filler.

really wish i knew more about food, but everytime I try to learn I get so bored with the reading I cant finish.

another good food alot of pro's are using is extreme dog fuel.They sell it at Bass Pro and at some tractor supplies.

I heard something about a pending investigation with Blackwood dog food. But I will have to check my sources.
