Im looking to buy a browning gold in camo, and was hoping to get some input on what to check out and what would be a reasonable price?
The gun is in reasonable condition, camo is peeling, choke is seized in barrel, 26", 3" chamber, He says its for 8 or 9 years old and has sat for the last 4 years.
Thanks, JI

Don't buy it. If you're gonna buy a used gun, get one that has been taken care of.

I agree with Al, stay away from that gun unless you he sells it for like $350 or less. Which I highly doubt he will.
I'm a dude who likes long barrels!

It makes me cringe reading about a gold in that condition being that I own one myself. Get another gold.

The old addage is true. You get what you pay for and most people know what something is really worth. I do love my Bowning Gold Hunter though.

Shoot skeet with a couple of guys that have them. Jam-O-Matic. One guy has sent his back twice and he still can't make a round without a jam.

They're doing something seriously wrong with maintenance, lube, or loads. I have 3 and they all perform flawlessly.

Could be. Just reporting what I see. The are not youngsters and have shot all their life and know their way around a shotgun.
