God forbid fourtrax(Brent) finds him out there!! NOT GOOD things will happen!!

I am more disappointed with the lack of response from the Warden!!

That what I was thinking Sunday when you still had not hear back from him And yep things will get bad if fourtrax finds them out on the place. I would not want to be in that person's shoes

If you are the land owner sounds like you need to call the Sherif. What county? The GW is responsible for game violations but, the Sherif can handle trespassers. Is the GW related to your neighbor? Sounds like a Boss Hogg Duke's of hazard scenario. Put out some game cams to get some evidence of the perpetrators. you may even have to go to the DA in the county to get help. How are they getting on to your place? Taking the fence down? Open gate? Be careful with what you do, the yahoo's are not worth ruining your life. Follow the law to the T and you'll come out one top.

Can you find out which Regional Office he reports to? My guess is Abilene, although Runnels is bordered by both Taylor and Tom Green, so it might be the office in san Angelo.

Course I am going under the assumption that you are talking about the place in Runnels county. If it is the place near Haskell, it could be Abilene, Wichita Falls, or Lubbock.

But I think contacting the regional TP&W office is your next move, although contacting the county Sheriff wouldn't be a bad idea.

Umph!! Bad news, Jason - hate to hear it.

I guess the only thing to do is get the sheriff onboard. Even though the GW should also get involved, imho, it looks like he's indifferent - which is out of character for the GWs I know.

If it comes down to it, call an old buddy from the ET riverbottoms that don't mind kickin arse and have a good old fashioned stake out/joke-telling party....

Sheriff along with trespassing (w/firearm=felony) charges.
(Although the felony would probably be pled down)

Not sure what proof/evidence you have. But if they find/catch the guy make sure to persue it. So word gets around that "that the guy that own THAT place prosecutes trespassers"

Sorry to hear that Jason.

Call the Sheriff, also call the GW back like D said. You never know.

I can take a week of vacation and sit out there if you would like. NO CHARGE.

Contact the Sheriffs department.

Trespassing and Vandalism are serious crimes, that should be handled by them. I wouldn't even have bothered with the game warden.

We had a really bad problem with trespassers and people coming into one of our leases and tearing things up. We took a piece of retread and drove 2 1/2 inch nails in it. Then we dug a two inch deep by 12 inch wide trench for it to lay in. Covered it up with sand and leaves. The only thing you could see were the nails sticking up and then you had to know where it was.

We came back the next weekend, and sure enough, all four of them had been ran over!

Just to be on the safe side, for the next few weeks, we walked in instead of driving in! LOL

From what I've learned over the years Mike, the Game Warden can do much more than the sheriff for such as this....if he/she had the initiative to do so.

But, plan B is always the sheriff's dept. I know some good old-fashioned deputies that will take a thermos and sack lunch and camp out at your place if need be.

I would call the GW(again) and Sheriff. I would tell both of them that I fear violence and, in self defence, I'll be going armed at all times.

If the GW is non responsive, I would contact Austin. If the Sheriff is non responsive, I would start running different paid political comments in the local newspapers. I would also contact the US Attorneys office &/ just maybe the Texas Rangers.

Take it from a business owner. We get to the ones that scream the loudest and we get to them first. I would call up there and raise all kinds of Hell. Trust me; they will get to you ASAP.

You are correct, a Game Warden is still a peace officer in the state of TX, and can enforce any of it's laws. The only reason i said call the SO was because in most counties you may only have one Game Warden, our Game Warden actually patrols 3 counties. Usually you'll have several deputies patrolling a county.

Jason,
I've listed all of our game warden offices for you and if the one responsible for your county does NOT get in the action of things, call here at our headquarters and talk with David Sinclair, Wildlife Law Enforcement, 1-800-792-1112, wait for the recording, then dial 94854 and press the # key.

http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/warden/office_locations/

Thought you might need just WHO to talk to if this doesn't get straightened out.

It does don't it... Hunted up there one year and the land owner was always going on about the poachers and trespassers.

Need you to get you butt back out to west Texas!
