If you own a Gerber Gator Machette or Gerber Gator Jr. Machette visit gerbergear.com for recall information. It appears that while using the saw part your hand can slip from the handle and cause severe lacerations. A modification to the handle design has been made and is available. I will be contacting them tomorrow to arrange for my replacement so I'll have more information then.

I called the number and it is an automated message. After listening to it, it will give you a chance to leave your name, address, and phone number. In turn they will send you a prepaid shipping container to return the defective machete and then they will send you a brand new redesigned one. The number to call is 1 877 314-9130. And yes Kobeer I do own a saw also.

I think the ones that I bought the grandsons last year are the Gators. Gonna have to check.
