Jeremy Vaught (Juan Valdez) of Dallas. He will build it to your specs, steel, handle, pins, mosaic what ever you want.

If you would like contact info shoot me a PM and I'll get to you.

With that knife I can gun & skin 2.5 deer before I need to hit it with the leather and she's good to go again.

Don't forget about jkf96a and wordsmith. I have a few made by jkf96a and will be getting one from wordsmith before next season.

This one was made from one of my Grandpa's files and a piece of osage from his firewood stack. Both of these were made by jkf96a.

This one was made one of my Great, Great Grandpa's files and a piece of mesquite from the backyard of my first house.

If you look at Big Tony's thread in the photo section from the other day that trapper in the pics is mine. It's awesome, and I just ordered another fixed blade knife from him. I wanted a custom EDC knife and a custom hunting knife, his stuff is top shelf and the prices are great. I think all the knife makers on this forum make nice knives and I hope to eventually get something from several more of them!!! I don't think you would go wrong with any of these guys on here.

Here are two of my favorites made by me. I've made about 65, but these are my two best IMO.

These pics are easier to post as they were already in my photobucket, none of these belong to me anymore, they were all obtained by some very generous and caring THF folks.

That is such a beautiful knife and it is responsible for me breaking a promise to slow down on my knife buying LOL.

There are a bunch of talented artisans here. I had Travis make my first custom knife and am very happy with it.

Is a knife for gutting and stuff with an antler handle a bad thing?

I don't think it's a bad thing, it's as easy to clean as anything else, the only bad thing might be it getting a little slippery when it's bloody. Any knife handle except for some kind of textured rubber or plastic gets slippery though.
