A small group of us are looking for a really cheap ram hunt anywhere in Texas. I've seen advertisements for Thompson Temple...anyone ever used them? We're looking for something with NO hidden fees. Feel free to email me with the information, Thanks!

check out kramerhunting.com they have a good deal on management ram hunts as well as larger rams. I think you would be happier there than Temple's place. If you want more of a wild ram challange try http://www.comanchecampramhunts.com/ Joel is a great guy (I took the buffalo shown on the website). Their rams are a lot more wild that the average place

don't go to TT...you might not want to bring them up around here, either. They aren't too well liked. Anyways, you can look up kramerhunting.com and ask about their management ram hunts (not shown on site) Don't know much about them, but know that they are cheap. I did e-mail him a while back on pricing and never heard anything from him so who knows. A bunch of us are going to another place in march for a real good price...hold on and I'll get the site.

North Texas Outfitters in Chico in has some in their smaller pasture for $300 I think. When I went they were $250 but I think he went up. Lots of exotic does and hogs in that pasture for the same price. I seen Catalina goats, Angora goats, lots of differrent kinds of rams and alot of Fallow doe.

I would second kramerhunting.com Two years ago my son took a nice full curl corsican at Kramers. I bought the hunt thru Ebay from another outfitter, but the hunt was at Kramers. He even processed the ram for us (for a small fee). Was VERY pleased with his operation. He is located near Harper, TX. He currently has a ram hunt on Ebay for $185.00. He sells under the ID of: FISHERMANKCK. Check it out. Good Luck.

You have been there? It looks good but I don't want a canned hunt so I'm just trying to be sure. I am wanting to take a ram but mainly it's for my son. He's 8 and since he was unable to connect during deer season I thought a easier ram hunt would be the ticket. He gets so nervous so I want to expose him to other animals with the hopes of him being a little less jittery come deer season 07.

If you dont want a canned hunt I would really ask a lot of questions before considering TT. If you will look through the open forum thread you will see several posts about his errrrrrrrrrr operation.

Dont get upset but I think your asking for the impossible. Very cheap and not a canned hunt just dont go together. Ive been to many of these places hunting different things and any ram Ive seen that was under about 500 bucks was basiclly an easy kill. Some of the higher priced places have rams that have been around awhile and are a little more spooky.

I dont think there is such a thing as a "cheap" ram hunt that is not pretty much a "canned" or tame/gentle animal hunt. These are sheep and no high fence is needed. Now, for the 8yr old this is probably a good confidence builder type hunt and make it just that.
