Last time I went to the range a guy had two AR type rifles (223 and 308) and both wore Konus scopes;he swore by them.Until then I had never heard of Konus.Both scopes were variable high power.As I recall,the one on the 308 went up to about 30x.I went thru the power ranges on that one and couldn't see any difference in clarity from low to high.Sorry,but that's all I know about Konus.
