Dall Sheep or a Trophy Elk. Something you have too work for for weeks.

Same here!!! It's the hunt mostly...but, of course I would like to bag one or both; mount them, too.
But, there's always that lure of the grizzer bear - up north...in Alaska (kodak) - or in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies.

An Alaska big game safaris would be on the top of my list.

Good luck on that hunt, Kent. I know you will have a great time. I wish you tons of success with it.
Roy, any time buddy! Count me in for that group. One of these days I am going to get to do elk hunting done right.

Oh man that is awesome! It truly doesn't get better than that right there. You can't beat a hunt that is already good the second your group gets together.

desert bighorn sheep or marco polo sheep, mainly the bighorn cause i hate cold weather. also, a mexican mule deer from sonora would be pretty sweet as well. with tht said, i might want to shoot a sable. yeas, definatly would hunt the sable
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

I hunted elk for 4 years before I got a trophy bull. Four years without firing a shot. Haven't been since.
However, I have been on 2 cow elk hunts on the Mescalero Apache reservation in New Mexico. It's not easy. You had better be in shape. The cows are wild and I don't want to say how far the shots were. I don't remember the cost but it was pretty reasonable 15 years ago.
I have always wanted a moose but figure those days are probably behind me.
Without a sense of urgency, nothing ever happens.

It would be Red Stag from New Zeland or Kodiak Bear with a bow.

Hunting is more to me than Antlers on the wall. It's more about the memories you make, and sharing those memories with friends, and family.

I'm with 3ShotRock on this one, Red Stag in New Zealand! Although hunting Elk with a bow is a close second.
Those red stag are nice. A fellow down the road from my old deer lease raises them, along with several other deer. I used to love driving by just hoping to get a glimpse

A pack-in guided Elk Hunt!
I did the public hunt in NM in '05. It was fun, never saw a thing in our section. Another group shot one little rag horn bull (I would have been proud though). We're going to apply again this year, for muzzle loader and bow hunts. Hopefully we'll get drawn. I know I'll be in better shape before I see 8,000ft. again. Makes me take a deep breath just thinking about it. Whew!
But I think the horseback trip into the boonies would be the ticket for me. It would be nice to get back from a day of multiple near heart attacks and not have to cook dinner! Or do dishes! Or anything else! And I can only imagine what it would have been like if I'd have actually shot one after hiking in 6-8miles to find him. It would have been four more trips for me and my bro-in-law. But it would have been worth it.
