I've heard of people soaking them in Well Water. But also have heard of people using ant piles.

I don't cut anything off at first ok maybe the ears, I just start boiling, when I check the progress I cut off what's about ready to fall off and then boil it some more. It usually takes pretty much a full day of boiling.

I bury mine or hang them up for awhile till I get a couple to do then I boil them. Then when stuff starts falling off I pull the head out and get pliers and pull the stuff off, but if you have a deer head or something dont do that on the nose because it will more than likely break off.

I bury mine then wait three months. When I dig it up I boil it for about an hour. Then let it dry out and you are done.

boil it for about 10 hours with a little degreaser in the water. makes the brains easier to remove. spray a water hose into the cavity and blast all that stuff out. you dont want to leave it in or it will stink. you can go buy a hair bleaching kit from a hair salon, soak it overnight(keeping the antlers out of the bleach) and have a mount the next day.

Cut the head off and cut all the skin off and pluck eyes.
Boil it and add salt soda (Taxidermy supply) helps get the meat off. Then hit is with a pressure washer and then back into the bioling water. Pull all teeth that will come out and clean them good. Fill teeth with apoxy to stop them from cracking. Put the head out in the sun and put Peroxide from Sallys all over it leave it there for a day in the sun and then wash off and super glue the teeth back in. Will come out really white.

Sorry I see were you are talking about a deer head though you were talking about a hog. When boiling a deer head do all the same steps except the teeth. Also wrap the horns in tin foil and then again in tire tubing. The horns will fade in boiling water.
