I recently got a Foxpro Fury and started calling at night. I have only ever done it with a friends varmint spotlight which I did not like to much. I was wondering what would be the best varmint hunting spotlight out of the box that I could buy.

We just got one that mounts to a 1" scope has a battery box I think it was 69 bucks, it works great and last a very long time on the battery. The only thing we didnt like was the mount to scope was loose so it moved around, It mounts to a 30mm scope very well though, you can also take a 1" scope ring and mount it on the scope upside down and the light has a rail on the bottom that willmake it fit nice and snug.
You can't handle the truth!

lower candle power the better with a red lense, i use any brinkman put in a toggle switch and go 100,000-200,000 candle power. light fore are ok if you like spending a ton of money, like a darker red lense, and a tighter pattern. I will say the best thing about lightforce is they are definitely lighter, and they don't use as much juice.

Nope I haven't spooked anything with mine and when its lower than 25 degrees out side I black tape a handwarmer to it and pull a glove finger over it and it works like a champ

that magnalight HL-85 is a dang good light too. looks the same as a light force, but the colored lens is the actual lens, it doesn't clip on like the light force or the q-beams. It really reduces the back and side glare. I have a light force and the magnalight. It would be tough picking between the two.

muleyman -
do you "scan" with the green light or just use it for the shots?

If I have a buddy with me we use red lights to find eyes then are lasers but if I'm alone I scan with it too
