anyone know anything about these?

Been looking at making a homemade e-caller for a while now and have it all mapped out. I have a base price set about $110 for all parts and MP3 player.

With the Spitfire listed at $199 I am having trouble not getting it. Is it not as good a product as their higher end products? why is it so cheap? would i be better off just making my own?

Any info would help, thanks guys!

i like that idea..but what about when i wanna call in rain/snow. Is your rig sealed? waterproof?

I want to make sure it lasts, I feel like my homemade fix would be nothing but prolonged work over the years. (unless I put more $$ into it, which is where i run into the dilemma of just getting a foxpro)

Tell them you want a powerhorn. It's between $25-$30.

To answer OP, I haven't owned it, but have been hearing good things about it lately. Supposedly there were some problems with the early manufactured ones, but that's supposed to be fixed now.

i bought one a few weeks ago.. 3 out of 4 hunts i've called something in.... the 4th day that i didn't see anything i called in the same exact spots i called in the day before. but the first day i called in 3 yotes at once, 2nd day 2 foxes at once, 3rd day a solo fox. these were all day hunts none at night yet... to say the least i've had some damn good luck with it and LOVE it!
