The beauty of the Second Ammendment is it won't be needed until they try and take it.

I have a .17HMR, lot's of ammo, lot's of patience, and a light for my scope so I can shoot after dark. Invite me over and I'll bring the beer & steaks and we'll shoot a few coons. I'm in Houston.

mix a little fly poison with some coke and leave it in a bowl near the feeder. Make sure it's covered with somthing so only coons and varmints can get in. You should find the coons laying all over the place the next morning. That's how we rid the cattle barns of them up here.
My wife will freak when she see's her butt on the net!

Man I'd drive a good distance to get a chance to run my hound. He's young and needs to be on hot tracks. You must have read that wrong. All I want to do is get this young hound on some more coon...he needs it bad.

Golden Malrin fly poison. you can get it at feed stores. I doubt its legal, but I've heard coons will drop within 10 feet of the feeder.

This is an easy one... you need 1-can sardines in oil, cordless drill, 3" screws, 10-12 or more 10/0 sharp treble hooks and 8' post with bark. Bury post on a about 45 degree angle Secure all hooks to pole w/screws, poke holes in sardine can and secure to top of pole... This way you can throw the pole and entire bloody mess of coons in tha dump... ------------ Or place large 55 gal. barrel open side up, w/o lid on site, place the can of sardines in oil (they cant resist) in bottom of barrel, then prop a 2"x6"x8" as a ramp to top of barrel... The next day you will have a barrel of coons... They get in but cant get out, This way you can take em across the tracks and sale em...

It's not legal...there isn't a single toxicant registered that may be used on any furbearer and the only one registered is for coyote control and you must have been registered with Texas Dept. of Agriculture. Poisoning is illegal for any species it not intended for and those doing it can face serious fines and possibly jail time. Be careful on and with the means & methods you use. No one needs to get fined or jail time when you can take care of a situation with legal means (trapping or shooting).

We have found that if you use traps, eventually it seems that we eradicate them. It is not a quick method, but trapping them and then shooting them seems to work. We have certainly cut back on the coon problems. Of course, a 22 is always fun.
