I live in New Mexico and up here to spotlight you have to get out of the truck and actually walk away from it to make stands. What light would be best that will stay charged a long time? And it has to put off lots of light up here we call all our coyotes from a long way in the flats.

You would have to get like a deer dolley or a regualr dolley and put a deepcell battery on there. Get a light with a long straight cord and youre money

I do the same, I like to use battery powered spotlights because you can always carry batteries... But I will say they are not as bright at their peak charge... All I know is there is nothing more annoying than a rechargeable dying n you while hunting. All the gear gets heavy though!
Then again I have used a maglite with red cellophane in a pinch.
