Ok so im putting a list together of what every hunter must have in his pouch while in the field, any ideas. Be as creative as you want
The only reason i work, is so that i could afford to hunt.

gun, ammo, knife, flashlight, snuff(at least for me), cell phone, gps, waterproof lighter/matches, just to name a few things
Sometimes I wonder if it will get to the point you bring an attorney with you out hunting.

Been darn glad on a number of occasions that I carried a good quality Leatherman/Multi-tool and a several feet of rope/heavy string into the field with me.

a big enough water bottle to pee in, but i guess that would have to be a pretty big pouch for me........and i also always make sure i have a lighter on me. And last would have to be some jerky

WATER, phone, knife, license, plenty of ammo and gun, food. thats all I carry but I only usually hunt my land and surrounding area so dont need GPS, public land would definitely need it.

I like to carry a head light to free up my hands when moving around at night, I also carry a small flashlight and extra batteries, pocket knife, skinning knife, water, snack. I also like to have a couple tie wraps and cord of some type in my fanny pack.

FOOD. Seriously if you look at my turkey vest you would think I am moving. The TP, I actually carry the baby wipes. A couple of knives. I have small roll of velco. Compass, (GPS was stolen) Map if I am new to area. lighter, phone, extra socks, small first aid kit, binos, pen or pencil for may tag. A couple trips ago I left the ammo in the car, I was only half way to the stand when I remembered it. Themacell, (I got free because I bought two boxes of ammo for turkey) Trash bag, latex gloves, always my sidearm, leatherman, Outdoor hunting reg, NOW dont ask about the trunk of my car it kind of looks like Cabelas.

The "must have" list for all day, assuming on the move or at least not sitting in a blind within easy walk of vehicle.
Water TP basic first aid kit compass food flashlight lighter cell phone couple extra ziplock bags
I may carry a bit more as space allows and conditions and specifics dictate but those are the "must haves".
If I've got my pants on, there's a knife on me too. There will sometimes be an extra in the pack. Again, specifics.
If carrying a rifle or a shotgun I'll leave the extra weight of a handgun at home.
Get yourself a GOOD daypack with a side pouch for your water unless of course you have one of those hydration packs. Keep stuff organized inside your pack with ziplock baggies of appropriate size.

dont mean to be too obvious, but your hunting license is another thing to always keep with your pack, so it is there if you need it
Stuff my dad said in the deer blind
"I can dive deeper and come up drier" "did you do that?"

License, phone (set to silent/vib, of course), rifle, sidearm, skinning knife, Swiss Army knife, flashlight, TP or kleenex, latex exam gloves, rope, zip ties, heat packs (if it's cold),water, thermos of coffee, cigarettes, lighter, camera, Ipod, and a small towel (cushion to rest rifle on - prevents scratching it). And I have some candy wherever I go... can't make it too long without chocolate.

I wouldnt say i have a hunting "pouch", more like a back seat full of crap Besides guns and ammo, i have calls, batteries, snuff, flashlight, water, peanut butter crackers. I have to put a lock on my stand during deer season. Not to keep varmints out, but to keep my buddies on the lease from sitting in my stand and eating all my snacks. I usually keep it stocked up so i dont have to carry stuff back and forth.
