Does anyone out their have an Rock River Arms Varmit Series AR-15? If so what do you think about it. I am looking at trading a rifle that I have for one of these or similar firearm.

From what I hear they are very good. Go visit www.ar15.com and sign up. Lots of good info there.

I'm actually getting one of the Varmit series Uppers by the end of this month to eliminate javelinas and coyotes in mass numbers.

Might wanna check the regs on mass elimination seeing as how they are a game animal and your allowed 2 per calender year.

I am confused, I was under the impression that Javelina, were classified as game animals by TP&W and that there is a limit on them???

Rubenz,
Javelinas are "Game animals" under Texas Parks and Wildlife regulations. Why would you blatantly claim to shoot more than your limit of 2 per calendar year on a public forum? If that's truly the case, I'd be more careful of who I told and where I told it.

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

That is something to really brag about. Taking over the limit then letting them go to waste your a real good ethical hunter there partner

Ok Ruben I'll say I'm sorry for attacking you this time. Have you ever thought about having guided hunts for the little critters? If you have that many there are folks that will pay good money for the chance to hunt them. I know a very good javilena guide who would more than likely talk to you about it.

I've got one and I love it. It's a 24", so its a little heavy, but it's quite accurate. I'd suggest a little bit shorter barrel if you can manage it, the 20" or 16" would be great.
