Alright, there must be 1000 different leasing websites which require a membership to access contact info for deer leases. With major sites like hightechredneck and leasehunter.com, which have you used? How did it work for you? Was there plenty of leases available or did you find a list of leased ranches? What should a person expect to pay for a membership.
Any info would be great. I'm sure its been covered before on here, but maybe we can give it another go round.

I think this may be against the rules to post other sites but not sure in this case. 3 years ago I found my lease on texasleaseconnection.com
Hope it helps.

deertexas had decent listings, but the good ones seemed to go in a hurry. I've always figured the best deals never make their way to the internet/paper/etc.

To me this is the best forum to find real hunters wanting to find or help fill out a lease.

This is a good place for feedback from current and sometimes previous hunters with no bias. Hard to find on the other sites. And it is listed in the forum rules about not advertising other sites that compete directly with THF and TFF.

The problem I have found when searching the internet for hunting leases are that the ones who go through the process of advertising their property usually want more money than I am willing to pay.

I have to agree. Almost all of the leases that are posted in the papers or online right now are 10 -30% overpriced. It has been that way for years. I am looking forward to when the economy becomes reality to some of the landowners out there.

DEERTEXAS.com is probably the best membership sites, Scott Thrash runs a quality site!
The one that TPWD runs has turned into mostly highfence advertisers and does need some "management".

I cannot get ONE damned response out of ANY of those leases. Secondly, what is with these land owners not answering phone/returning call!?!? I've called on 20+ places over the last week and talked maybe 3 people total. Why advertise if you dont want to lease???

What KILLS ME is, the sites I visit will say the ranch is availible, but by the time I get a call back, ITS LEASED!? DANG! There are two or three ranches I've called on, I'd lease NOW..I just can't believe the lack of service from some people that call themselves "lease services".
