Anyone have any info on hunting prospects in Refugio co. about 8-9 miles out of Refugio towards Goliad(hwy 183)....deer numbers, SIZE....etc.....any info or thoughts would be greatly appreciated......THANKS in advance!

dont expect anything amazing, but numbers are good and id say size is good. i would say an amazing trophy would probably be around 140. but it also depends a lot on ur area.

that's a good area I grew up hunting that area I shot this between Refugio and Woodsboro about 6 years ago small place, 150 acres, low fence, no feeders

check out the website in my sig line. We shoot 160+ inch deer every year off our ranch in that same area. I have been hunting that area forever. There are some great deer there if the deer can get some age on them. If you have a small place and crappy neighbors you may be dissappointed. I have hunted a place like that in that area also. Hope you got a good one. Leases in that county are very hard to come by. It took me nine years of asking to get mine.

WOW, great deer rtp!.......we've got almost 600ac with really big property on 2 sides....3 of us huntin' tha lease so HOPEFULLY we can grow some good uns......you seem do be doin' a FINE JOB!.....THANKS for the info! I'm kinda pumped now...
