You can hunt them 24/7/365. They definetly like corn. They love rooting in the dirt and eating roots. The rooting part is why they are so dispised. Just use a knife and skin em like any other animal. I kill so many that I dont bother with skinning the whole animal. I just remove the hind quarters and back straps and use the rest for yote bait.

I think they love each other more than anything, judging by the numbers.
Mmmm Hmmm

1) Anytime
2) corn... soured corn is even better
3) process like a deer
I might take the backstraps out... but usually just leave them laying. Or use them for dog food.
i try to keep one in the freezer though.

I process same as deer, except don't go for steaks. A big one I grind ever thing and make sausage. I send it through the grinder twice sometimes. I also slice the meat thin and make fajitas with dollar store seasoning. Smaller hogs I quarter and make roasts then leftover roast make stew.
Wild hog is some excellent eating I don't know why so many people waste it. I guess there is so many they can.
The Buffalo I shot remove the hide and maybe cut out the tongue and leave the rest for buzzards and yotes! JK

Never tasted wild hog...or hunted it. Heck I'm from MS..we love pork! All that meat left in the woods to rot...
Hey SD, next time you bust one, let me know...I'll take the left-overs (Shoulders & ribs especially).
