That second 8 pointer is a good looking buck too, nice and high. IF he can hang around, take the buck you like. Two 8 pointers..one can go

2 eight pointers haha. we got about 7-9 eight pointers all this age or younger. Thats mostly all we have is 8's. I am going to let everything thats got more points then 8 walk unless its time for him to go. It sucks that its all we have but I am happy I own land I can hunt on and have good 110-135 class bucks. Not the biggest but hey they work for me. I have seen an 8 turn into a ten but most likely he would only gain a few inches in both tine length and mass next year

yes, they have had them for 5-6 years now. I think it has worked good but it sucks because I cant shoot young crappy 8's. It has produced bigger bucks for sure. Helps because alot of those small acreaged people will shoot almost anything with horns.

I would say that he has the 8 point gene. We have deer on our place (much bigger than 60 acres) that I am convinced never grow more than 8. The deer has plenty of room on the end of the main beams for another but I doubt he ever grows it. On 60 acres I would shoot.

he was shot by my neighbor and ONLY scored 125.5 and was 4.5. wish he woulda made it one more year o well.

Hard to let a deer like that walk when you have 60 acres...with your circumstances i would have shot him as well...sorry your neighbor got him!

Have to agree with the others on this post...He he is in the sights of another hunter...He is as good as gone...He is a nice deer, I would shoot him if I saw him walk by my stand/tree..If your on MLD Land I would put him down..

Cuz next year he might have a brow on the right and you cant get him. Better to take him out while you can. Looks like you have better branch-antlered buck that could use the food he is wasting. Why take one that doesn't SEND-YA and has posted in a hunting forum for suggestions.
If he's right for ya, you'll know it and pull the trigger.

Yeah, he is a legal buck and a lot bigger than anything I've ever seen.... so I would have shot it myself. He looks to be at least 3 1/2, possibly 4.

yeah we shot that buck in pic 2. Looking back on it I shouldnt have let my cousin shoot him. He was a slick 1.5 year old 5 point that woulda been a main frame 8. He was messed up since velvet. He woulda been like 12 inches wide which is good for our area at 1.5. o well lol it was a good hunt and we eyed him all summer

Don't put him on your wall yet. I had the largest buck I've had a chance to shoot on trail camera at night during preseason and never seen him again until a week after season in the day light.
