Shot s 50# pig last night. Wanna smoke it whole super bowl day. Should I free2 it or keep it on ice for the week?
Can I season it now and wrap it?

If it were me, I'd put a good rub on it, wrap it up real tight in saran wrap, and keep it on ice.
I'd probably make sure to keep the drain open on the cooler so the pig didn't sit in water though. Good luck!

Probably doesn't matter either way. I bet it would take forever to thaw.

IMO..... on ice for a week. It will taste A LOT better. Change/add ice as needed.

It should be fine like that. We always keep out hogs or deer on ice with drain open for 3-5 days. It should last up to a week no problem.
The only question I would have with it is, would the salt draw out too much moisture being on for that long?

If the weather stays like it is now you can just let it hang.
