Thats pretty crazy, sad deal, definately not my kind of hunting.
Haven't had it in years but never spit any out. I am a sucker for happy endings and strapped cowboys.

yeah it's unfortunate. We don't have to deal with wolves here in TX, but we do have mountain lions, alligators, bears and hogs. Just wanted everyone to be aware of that and keep an eye on your dog. i think the world of my brid dog but she's no match for any of those.

and snakes. I am much more worried about snakes then any of the above.
I would never use my dogs to hunt game like cougar.
I'll take a Black Female every time.

Man that is crazy. I have a friend who lost a dog to an alligator but I can't imagine running up on your dogs in that kind of predicament. Sad story.

I don't really find it sad. It's kind of like a catch dog for hogs. You sign them up for that when you send them out, it comes with the territory. I agree it sucks, but if you are going to be that upset over it, then don't put them in that situation. Just like I don't want my dog to get eaten by a gator, so I don't hunt certain waters or go to certain waters most of the year. I take my chances with the snakes, but during Teal season, that is my biggest worry for me and the dog. I have nothing against the wolves either. They have the same rights to coexist on this land as with any other animal and human.
