http://www.netexasoutdoors.com/P1010049.jpgThanks guys for posting link to picture! I don’t do the picture justice because I am 6ft 5in and 250 # in a heavy large parka. But we were proud of it and COA was thrilled. They even took care of processing and they are having head mounted for me also at no charge! Even got a very nice set of prints the next morning. Thanks COA and Vicky! I shot it right at dark at 110 to 120 yards with 7mm Rem Mag on the Oil Well Blind. Loaded with 140 gr SPBT at 2900 FPS reload. Must have missed all the big rib bones because exit was about like a cigar butt in size and shape. I saw a doe going through brush and aimed for clearing just ahead of her. When I saw the body in the clearing I squeezed off a shot with her quartering slightly away from me. I heard the hit and it stumbled, turned it head, and went down in it tracks. To my surprise I saw a rack as it went down? Don’t know where the doe went to but the buck was mine now. Entry was in the left rear rib cage and exit was behind far right shoulder. Got both lungs and missed the heart and shoulder. Weighted 109#, 14 ½ in outside spread, and very nice symmetrical rack. The beams were not very large but someone said it would score 110? Aged at 2 ½ years. The Ark-La-Tex Outdoors guys had the camera rolling when we got back to camp. Chris and Dearil (COA board) were all smiles. About the LOP hunt I don’t think I will be able to get away from work especially since I was smiling all day long on my 2nd Monday at work. You got to realize this was my first week at a new job and I had asked before hiring on (Monday) to get off Thursday and Friday to take dsrtsniper hunting since he cant drive. Some people just don’t get it. (LOL). Dsrtsniper and I had a wonderful time and I was glad he got a deer also. Hope he get another one at LOP. Thanks for all the invites and offers to help with every thing. Look forward to meeting rbriges and Darren some day soon. Like chigger said these are the guys. Thanks for the volunteer work. About the LOP hunt: I heard the COE Biologist say they had MLP permits for does on LOP-Great guys To the greatest guys and gals I have meet in all my life: Challenged Outdoorsmen of America Aaron and I had a wonderful time on the hunt. Most important to both of us we got to meet the greatest group of people in the USA. My thanks go out to all the people for there hard work, and thoughts. The food and friendship was the best. Make a great day outdoors fantastic. Hope to see everyone again soon. It was great to see all the families and youth participating in the wonderful outdoors activity you made accessible for them. Chris I am sorry I missed saying goodbye before we left. James
