I finally got to go to the APD range and shoot the AR I bought from chrisboc (Ace Arms). It is a Delton pre ban A4 flattop upper w/16" barrel and a Delton lower with 6 position collapsable stock. I did install an accuwedge in it. I have a Ncstar Mark III tactical scope mounted on it and Ncstar hand rail. I was shooting Brown Bear 55gr. FMJ and 62 gr. HP's. At 1 hundred yards I was able to achieve 2 inch shot groups. I was surprised given the fact that I have less than $620 in the gun and shooting cheap ammo (less than $4.50 per 20). The steel casings did not seem to affect the gun at all and the ammo shot fine with no malfunctions at all. The only thing I did notice is that it is dirtier as people had mentioned. By that, I found that they meant when cleaning the gun you will notice a significant ammount of gummed up crud in the upper and bcg. This is due to the lacquer finish around the primer area. After a good cleaning it looks like new again. This is the first AR-15 I have ever owned so I started out on the cheap but am I satisfied so far. I have and still do shoot a lot better quality rifles at work and eventually as I can afford to I will upgrade but for now I am happy with it. I am curious now as to what it will do with better ammo. If nothing else it gives me the opportunity to get out and enjoy shooting. Now all I have to do is find a place to go shoot some varmints and hogs. Thanks again to Chris for a great deal your one heck of a nice guy.
