Welcome to The Forum. Really good looking deer.

Since M16 started the WAG process I am saying 135 to 140 B&C and 150 lbs.+.

Here is the score....

153 1/8 Gross, Field Dressed 174lbs

The deer had alot more mass than you would think. I guess the picture doesn't show it well. My hands palm to finger tip is right at 8 inches, so that might help you when looking at the base. As far as weight, he was a beast. 6 1/2 year old deer according to local game warden.

Shot a 137 a week later, but damn camera died on me. I thought I got a picture taken but was disappointed when I got home and there was nothing. He was a very nice 8pt. So..needless to say, its been a good year. Its off to hogs and varmits now for me.

justbreezin,

Was this buck shot on the Lambshead? Aren't Shackleford/Throckmorton Counties 1 buck counties? Where did you take your 137?

Very nice buck and congrats!

It was shot in Throckmorton county. Our place actually spreads over Throckmorton and Baylor Co. The reason I was able to take 2 is due to an MLD permit.
