I've had 'em scare me a few times too. I've heard of them attacking decoys also. I'd hate for one to sink his awesome talons into my skin, lol.
Mmmm Hmmm

We have called in owls a few times and Hawks during the day.

Was hunting down near Pearsall last year. Saw an Owl working his way to my rabbit decoy in the bush tops. Didn't mind him much.
A couple minutes later, he came out of know where and grabbed my decoy and flew down the road. He tried to eat it. I yelled at him amd he flew away with my decoy.
Hope he chocks on it.

I have called in a few. I have also called them in late one evening trying to locate the roosting turkeys with a "Hoot Toot". I had several coming from all different directions that evening swooping down towards me.

Usually Red Tails and Crows are the first thing that come in when I call.

Unfortunately I probably call in as many owls as I do coyotes.
