I am looking to take over a 500 acre lease in N.E. Liberty County.About 1.5 hour or so from Houston.There will be 6 guns.1,200 per gun ? PM me if interested.

seems a bit high for an east texas place. It maybe cheaper than that if I am able to work a better deal but like I said I am checking interest.

Was this on craigslist? I contacted her about it also and she listed $900 per gun.

Yes it was. That was the per gun price but they would rather have someone take the whole lease so they don't have to manage hunters

Do you have pictures, details of the game available, has it been managed? We are just getting the lease for the first year.It was hunted by the land owner last year(sorry no pictures) Deer and maybe a few hogs.

I might be interested in it. It's not far from where I live, but $1200 is very high for this area. That's $12 per acre, and the going rate should be around $7 to $8, which would make the price per gun come down to about $700 per gun, which is about right. If you can get the price per gun down to under $1000, I'd like to check it out.

If you divide 500 acres by 6 guns that's a little over 83 acres per gun. At $1200 that is $14.40 per acre. Or if you multiply 6 guns x $1200 that's $7200 which comes to $14.40 per acre. Point is this is nearly double the going rate so I'd like to know why. If there are tremendous deer and hogs or it has been managed that is one thing, but this seems a bit out of bounds. Let me know.

We will not be leasing this property.However I said earlier that I did not know the price per gun yet I was just checking interest. it would have been much better to say "well it's only 1000 not 1200 hundred". Than well I thought it was 1000 but it is really 1200.00.Anyway it does not matter I have passed on the lease any way

I saw it on craigslist on Monday and when I went to find it back, it was gone. I read $5400 for the 500 acre lease looking for 5-6 hunters.
Here is her email address and my emails with her.

We are looking for 5-6 hunters. The whole lease is still up for grabs. My husband just removed his feeders yesterday and, is going to remove the blinds as well.
The nearest town is Liberty. Oh yes...we do allow kids/ guest. Yes...our friends got 2 bucks and 2 doe's. We get the land from the paper company.
