It seems to me that duck/goose bands are hard to come by to some, but others have a lanyard full so I thought I'd make a poll.

just to comment on the "lanyard full"........you can buy them off ebay and yes i know people who actually have

I was given a goose band this year by a friend who printed them up to memorialize his dog, a Master Hunter. He said it was the same price for 1 or 100. I keep it on my dog training lanyard not with my duck calls.

I got one last Saturday.

Shot a greenhead last weekend that had my first band on it. Didn't get any pictures but he may be going on the wall. I can't decide. I was also wondering if someone can tell me if there's a quicker way to get the info on the band. I called the number but it sounds like I won't get anything for a few weeks.

there is a website you can go to but I can't remeber what it is.

My last one was five years ago.

i believe that you can look up the info on the net nowadays. I'm sure yentzen can help you out....

i got one off a banded ross goose last year and my dad got one off a Green wing. and the year before that i got one off a mottled duck. none this year

Don't call it in and enter it on the web. I did and they said it's going to take longer and got a nasty email!

Out of the 4 guys on my lease we have taken 338 ducks Cans,Pins,Mallards,Scaup,BTW,GTW,Buffys,Spoons,Gads,wigeons, RedHeads,Ringnecks, and a Ruddy. Not one stinkin band what the heck is going on in the central flyway I thought the odds were better than that out of the 16 Canadas I have seen taken 6 had bands in Ohio

i shot 7 in Michigan in 3 years, and 7 in California in 2 years. I havent shot one in Texas in 4 years of hunting.

On my leases were I hunt we usually kill 350-450 ducks per year and none of our banded birds have come from any of the property we hunt normally.

Never been on a hunt where a band was taken.

I have seen 3, one at hackberry and 2 at a lake north of here.

There are six guys that hunt our lease land and all but my buddy and I have shot multiple bands. I have been on two hunts where bands were taken and on the wrong piece of the property when the rest were taken. The funny thing is my buddy and I hunt more and shot more birds than any of the other guys. LOL!
