We had ice skating Wigeons first thing this morning. It was weird to see the ducks skating around out in front of the blind before LST!!! When LST came we jumped the ducks up and our guest Randy shot a double!  Hey what we say he is a Quail hunter and a good shot. Four ducks flew up, four ducks fell, I shot twice and Randy shot once! Mike zeroed in on the fourth one and it fell before he could pull the trigger! Ended up with 4 Wigeon ( three drakes and a hen ) Drake Ringneck, Gadwall hen. Mighty Mike got out in the boat and broke up the ice. I wish that I had the camera and got some pictures of him. The ice was at least a half inch thick! Buddy the dog was busting through it in four wheel drive! What a dog!!! Thank you Buddy for all you do!! We had shell hulls and plastic wads all over the ice!  Frozen Duckland! LOL  Strap O' Birds!  "Buddy the Ice Dog"  Randy shoots a double...You da man!!  Randy and the strap.  Mighty Mike and Buddy the Ice Dog...  A beer belly, ducks and big grin!!

Nice hunt I always enjoy your reports!
BTW is your buddy Randy in real estate? If so, I haven't seen him in years but I know him from fly fishing. If not, guess he just looks a little familiar!

Those are GREAT! Boy does the dog not look to happy about it being so cold LOL!

Dave, yes he is Real Estate! Randy harvested some duck feathers for his fly tying that day along with going home with the meat!! If you want his number send me a PM.

We have this weekend full up with Mighty Mike's family coming up for some hunting....man this season has gone by fast!
