TC ICON in .30 TC.
Better ballistics than a 30-06 for the same grain bullet and it kicks like a .243 Win.

Browning A-Bolt 7mm, is my favorite, there are many, to say one is the best is a very tough question. I would say pick a good quality rifle with the best scope you can afford and then practice practice practice

I love my Savage 25-06-not too expensive and a real tack-driver, right out of the box!

Some good answers but lets be realistic the best rifle isn't always the one that you own.

Love anything TC! Have the TC Pro Hunter 25.06. +1 wish my .25-06 barrel was a Pro Hunter. I shot it today and didn't realize that it has more felt recoil than my .270 Win w/ the Pro Hunter barrel. Really need a Pro Hunter barrel for it to tame it down. It shoots REALLY good though.

In your opinion what is the best rifle for deer hunting? I would suggest a bolt action rifle because they are known for their accuracy. ------------------

Browning A bolt Medallion in .270. Pricey, but worth every penny! Just dont deer hunt with a ballistic tip with this gun - use a 130 or 150 grain Federal Fusion or Premium cartridge.

All great answers and there are alot of reasonable priced rifles out there that are capable of 1-1.5 MOA. For years my favorite was a Remington M700 in 35 whelen. Now, its a Shiloh Sharps in 45-70. Buy something you like and practice with it every chance you get.

In your opinion what is the best rifle for deer hunting? I'm assuming that you are asking about caliber & the brand. I've shot Win, Rem, Sako, Wthby, Tika, and even had some custom guns over the years but now the only thing in my gun room are Savage rifles. Savage spends all of their $ on barrels and triggers, not on looks and beauty. I could really not give a rat's smelly arsh what my smoke poles look like as long as they drive tacks and that is exactly what every Savage I own does. I do not believe there is another gun out of the box as accurate as the Savage is on the average. On caliber, to each his own! It is all about putting the bullet where it is supposed to go and it is lights out if you do! I personally love the .243 with 100gr Sierra GK and the .308 with 150gr Sierra GK. I can pick either of those rifles up and do not have a doubt whatsoever that anything within 300 yards is in deep trouble if I have a good rest! Get a caliber you are comfortable shooting and try every make of ammo made for it until you find a recipe it likes. Every rifle is different and the slightest change in a load can take a rifle from 2" at 100 to driving them hole for hole! If you don't handload yourself, find someone who does and have them build you a recipe that your gun likes. It takes time and a little money to get it exact some times but the piece of mind I have with any of my guns in the stand when I know they will all cut a ragged hole at 100 yards is very nice to have, especially when the buck of a lifetime steps out at 250 yds!!!
High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!
