Me too! I sow some legal shooters, but not the one I was hunting for.

Skunked in Leon County. No Bucks, No Does on Doe Days, no Hogs. Just Cows and Horses. Even got skunked on quail I released on the lease...imagine that! Still good times though...

I GOT SKUNKED THIS YEAR. IT WAS A WIERD YEAR IN DEER MOVEMENT. SAW A COUPLE OF EIGHT POINTS ,BUT, TOO YOUNG. SAW LESS DEER THIS YEAR THAN THE PAST TWO YEARS ON OUR LEASE. WE KNOW THEY ARE THERE,CAMERAS DON'T LIE, BUT MOST PICTURES WERE AT NIGHT.

STILL HAD A GOOD TIME BEING WITH MY SON AND ENJOYING THE TIME AT THE LEASE. THAT'S A BIG REASON FOR HUNTING ANYWAY.

Last night my daughter called while on her way home to say there was a buck and a doe in the yard just two doors down from my house. The wife and I walked around the side ofthe house and there they were, standing under an oak tree. Now you have to keep in mind that we live about two blocks from a wooded area in our subdivision. These deer walked past two houses, several street lights and an intersection to reach that yard, probably attracted to acorns. Another 100 feet would have put them in my yard.

After getting skunked this year, I told the wife that had just come to laugh at me.

I've NEVER seen deer go so far into a residential area, so I guess there just isn't much left for them to eat now.

Heck, maybe I should put a hanging feeder in my own oak tree.

I didn't see squat! I did get some on camera that were hitting the feeder at night but no daytime hits. But I do have 2 more months to try and change that.

Got a few hogs, but no deer. 1st time in 25 years that I did not get a deer.

One Stag and thats it... for deer saw lots of good buck sjust none that broke the mark I was looking for.

Got three hogs... One big momma and two babies(Baby, babies)

One pheasant---- Fixing to fix that though

One limit of ducks(pin tail, two spooines, three widgeons)

Zero for me in Stephens County. Haven't seen a deer since opening weekend. Wife and dad both shot a spike so we got deer meat. Got extended season so maybe then. Getting the spotlight out for the hogs.

I was skunked in Henderson county and I have doe permits. This was extremely disapointing in we have passed bucks for several years, planted food plots, have feeders out and in general put very little pressure on the place. Saw one 8pt. that would not meet ar requirements. Saw a number while not in blinds. Heck we couldn't kill a hog and they're tearing the place down.(at night)we bought the place mainly for duck hunting and it has only been so-so this year. We share a 25 acre beaver pond with the neighbor and cannot convience him to lease or sell his side to us. He doesn't hunt but allows a great many to hunt there (ducks only) free. Go figure. I saw a group of bucks(4) togther in September that would stop your heart. Never saw them even on game cams all season. I always thought if you owned the place you could turn it into a good hunting spot given enough land & ok surroundings. The dream is a little fuzzy. The place is beautiful and close drive,but the hunting is subpar and after this year I'm losing confidence in getting it any better. yep skunked -zero - nada

this season SUCKED. hunted this weekend and didn't see anything.

Who out there that got skunked thinks that MAYBE it has something to do with ARs?

There were several nice bucks taken in the area where I hunt in Houston County, includig one that was the best ever for the lease. I also found another good book that another hunter had shot and left in the woods after thinking he missed.

While there are other reasons I'm sure, I don't think there were as many people in the woods this season to keep the deer moving. The deer just relocate to non-hunted areas once the pressure is turned on them.

I never pulled the trigger on a deer. Got some quail, ducks, pheasant and a hog or two, but no deer. Havent killed a deer since 05 now. Josh did put 3 does in the freezer. I really need to get some does in Wellington. Got too dang many.

Well, I wish we had AR's in Foard County, saw several spikes that needed shooting early...then late there were none, notta, zilch... so for the first time in years I don't have a buck.

I got one BIG doe early out west, and four hogs total...3 west and 1 in Red River....

I did not see a deer on the Red River County place where four years ago we'd see 10-15 a day.... I truly thing they are way over hunted and over harvested...

I really think something is up with this area of East TX. Even here on the homeplace(15 miles from Red River Cty as crow flies) we have not seen many deer over the last few years. We control the hunting, but while I would see 20-25 a day in the 80's, we see 5 or so now days. Antler restrictions have not helped us yet and I think the extra doe days are taking their toll.
