I got to my stand and feeder at 5 am today and heard something I never heard before it sounded like a bunch of teeth chattering and jaws slaming together but being butt dark out couldn't see a thing, as it got light I noticed the area is tore up from the floor up and pig tracks and it looks like they built there own swimming pool right in front of my stand. Just curious when is the best time for the killing!!!!

set up a trail cam so you get a better idea of when they are coming. you probably also want to set up some lights around your feeder to make shooting them a little easier

Best times would be dark and a couple hours after and a couple hours before first light. You can get a set of solar yard lights at Walmart and strap them to the tripod legs or feeder fence posts for more light. Also, one of the Primos lights, that set on top of your scope, lights things up pretty good. The light doesn't seem to bother them. June was my best month this year, got 22 of the critters, works for coons too.
Good Hunting, Gary

The hogs at my feeder are completely nocturnal and come in anywhere from 9PM to 4AM. The deer get as much corn as they want, but the hogs are there every night. Pics show some big boars too. They come in big family groups, but they don't mix.
Now that Christmas has passed I am ordering a special red light made specifically for hog hunting. My new pig blind is only 44 yards from the feeder and I have 2 new trails coming into it from a large pond they've turned into a wallow.
I got some new insulated hunting clothes under the X-mas tree so it looks like there will be some long nights after deer season closes.

If you would use a green light they wont spook as bad and it lights them up a lot better. JMO
