Go to two Academy stores today, and very little rifle ammo. Don't want to spend $35 and more for ammo.
Anyone use Monarch and what are your experience?

metal casings???? suck!!!! leaves a mess with the cheap powder. I tried using the 223 ammo, and by far the worst ammo I have used

Love shooting the Rem. core-lokt. Getting hard to find it, as well as several other calibers tho.
Thanks for the feedback guys. That's all I needed to know!

The brass is probably fine but the steel case stuff is about like Wolf and Brown Bear.

I have used the brass 9mm ammo without a problem- very accurate & fed well thru my Taurus. The steel case stuff tended to hang up some. Usually about 5 or 6 partial ejects per 50 rounds. Still was pretty accurate when it did shoot correctly.

I ran the brass .223 soft point and i was struggling to maintain a 10" group. Rifle was shooting under an inch with winchester. I don't plan to ever hunt with this ammo.

I've shot the .223 brass case as well and it groups very poorly. My remaining rounds have been relegated to the "let the kids blast it downrange" pile.

Had problems with the .30-30 cases getting jammed up in the chamber after firing (5x in a box of 20). Discovered that the cases are laquered (though Academy denied it). Proof was provided by wiping an acetone-soaked Q-tip across the case. Took the other boxes back to Academy. Shooting nothing but Hornady ammo now.

Shoots fine in my .270. I wish I could find more of it!

I shot 250 rounds of the 9mm this past weekend and it went through my Sigma just fine, no issues whatsoever.

I bought brass 150gr .308 win; it shoots to same POA as hornady 150gr SST, but the SSTs all go into >1", while the monarch is a 2-3 inch group. Good pig rounds!

I have shot plenty of the Monarch 7.62 x 39, no jams ever. Does shoot dirty. Wolf is much better for accuracy and about the same price.

I've shot 120 grain hollow points for my 7 mag they suck , all over the place so I'll keep my 150 nosler ballistic tips because 3 shots at a 100 under an inch group is something that I won't complain about

I'd rather be lucky than good !!!

That is probably the only store bought ammo I buy any more. It shoots just fine out of my reminton 700 sps varmint. Kept it within about 2" group at 100 yards. It is cheap ($10 ) box for brass cases. I reload with this stuff to and it is fine. Lots to be had at Academy here. I have had no problems with it shooting prairie dogs. Plenty accurate enough in my experiences

I have been happy with the Monarch brass 9x19, .40 S&W , .243 100gr. and the 55gr FMJ. It's not match ammo but it shoots well enough.

I have been using it for a year now in my 223 3 gun match rifle. It is good enough to be competitive at close range, however if the range increases beyond 100 yrds i switch to someting else.

I've had good success with it in my .30-06. Accurate enough for hunting and no dirtier than any other ammo that I can tell.
