308.... either a Remington 750 for under 200/close in/brushy or a savage 10FP for longer ranges/open country

Depending on where I am hunting brush or open area. My Marlin 336 30/30 or my Marlin XL7 30.06. never had to go mere than 50 yards to find a deer shot.
If I'm not hunting something I must be dead.

just wondering whats everyones choice of gun is in deer hunting? Anyone haves varmints around to where you carry an entra gun just in case something comes across you on the walk to the blind the the morning.
I use a 243 for deer, turkey, hogs, and carry a 20 gauge with me in case a cat or coyote run across me. This year I used the 7mag instead of my .270 and my .308.

I hunt with a Ruger #1 in 25-06. I am shooting re-loads in 90 Gr. HPBT Game Kings. Best gun I have ever shot.

Kimber 8400 .270 WIN with a Weaver Scope. I shoot Fusion cartidges.
This season my three boys and I have taken 7 nice bucks between my land in East Texas (Gregg County) and my lease in Sterling County - all with this gun. Out of the 7 bucks shot, we have used 8 bullets (One son had to shoot twice to keep a deer down).
The Kimber with the Fusions make a good combination.
Mathews Z7 Bow for Whitetail and Hogs
Remington R-15 .223 REM for predators
I also like to "hunt" sporting clays with my Benelli SuperSport!

One more for the 257 Weatherby. Mine is an Accumark with a 6-20 Leupold Tactical on it. Not much on the light weight side, but solid to shoot off hand, and the bomb out of a blind. I have run lots of ammo through it, and it sure shoots sweet. Thinking about a new trigger this off season if anyone has any suggestions. Wanting a double set trigger.
 Dozer, mulched, and trackhoe work. Fencelines, senderos, tanks. Let me know if I can help with any dirtwork or construction.

Guess im the only one on here shooting an H&R Handi Rifle. Mines a .270 w/ a 4-12X50 Nikon Buckmaster on top. Not quite the only one. I like this one in 45-70. It has 2 Nilgai bulls and 2 whitetails to its credit so far. Winchester 94 in 45lc is what I carry most of the time, anymore. 1 doe and 1 pig so far. Thru and thru on the doe thru the shoulders and in the face and out the peepee on the pig. Guess it'll do.

Just depends on where I am hunting, could be a 270, Ruger 280, or a custom 7-08. I like all of them but have had the tang safety Ruger the longest and it has put down the most (pigs & deer). Just got the custom 7-08 so it will get a chance the rest of this year and probably next year.

tikka t3 hunter in 30-06 shootin 165gr cor lokts ,havnt tracked anything this year its knocked down 2 bucks 3 does and a pig furthest one went 30 feet the rest fell over

I have been using a Remington 700 Classic 25-06 and 257, but I am retiring them to put away before I completely scar them for life. I got me a Remington 700 SPS Stainless 7-08 that I will be hunting with from now on.

if in my deer stand i take my remmy 7400 .270. if in the hog stand I take the S&W AR in .223....wanna make sure i have plenty of ammo for the follow up shots on the rest of the group!!!

.308 model 70 and often a .44 mag pistol for shooting close range weird angles or if I jump one on the way to my stand.
