how much should i expect to pay for an upper? i found a complete lower for 225 new and now i'm on the hunt for an upper. im not gettin an ak cause of the safety and because of the accuracy, but im worried about the maintenance for the ar. Is it complicated to maintain them?

no, it shouldnt take more than 10 min to maintain. look around, if your going to go the 20 inch route, youll need a rifle lower with a non collapsible stock. if not, then you ca get whatever kind of upper you want.

if not a 20" barrel, get a MIDLENGTH 16" upper, it will provide you with a slightly longer sight radius, more accurate until (if) you choose a scope.

there are plenty of good ones, but i prefer bravo company, a little more expensive, but not much more at all considering the quality ad customer service and testing they do on each and every one. you could have a top flight ar for about 8-900.

the full length 20"

the 16" midlength,

make sure to add the bolt and carrier group, theirs is great, all else youd need is handguards and a rear sight, the magpul option is nice at like 40$

I have yet to hear any negatives on the CMMG guns. Mine was cherry.

I bought 3 Sharps lowers last month. They look as good or better than any I've bought in the past - Bushmaster, EA, DPMS. I'm tempted to buy more.

Here's my current build using the chrisboc group buy.

lower $68 (Sharps)
stock $65 (DPMS)
LPK $50 (DPMS)
Upper complete $350 Delton.chrisboc
---------------------------
$533

My CMMG Upper in 6.8 SPC shoot very well and appears to be of very nice quality.
