Congrats. Get ready to spend countless hours looking at random websites, talk about thousands of hunts, and find yourself calling ducks at all hours of the night. Welcome to the forum too!!

Congrats on your first duck hunt and starting it out with some green. By the way, there is no known remedy for this addiction...

You're screwed... get ready to start buying all kinds of hunting gear. LOL... I think its a little to late for that. Everyday during lunch i try and squeeze in about 30 mins and take a trip to Bass pro to looking a camo, shells or anything that has to do with hunting.

Well, as Jase Robertson says "being a duckaholic is not fatal. It's a positive thing. We don't celebrate the recovery, we celebrate the addiction itself." HAHA! Glad to welcome another to the fold.

remember the cycle of the duck hunter. you start out with a cheap shotgun a couple decoys and some cheap camo...10 years later you have multiple thousand dollar shotguns, more decoys than you can fit in your garage, a $10k duck rig, etc. 10 years after that you are back to a cheap pair of waders, old pump shotgun and a handfull of decoys.

Thanks.. I was able to get my hand on a benelli for a real good price, found a guy on cragislist that was selling 2 dozen decoys for 50 bucks and i borrowed/took my uncle's jon boat. All i need now is to get a duck blind setup on the boat and get a dog and i should be set for the next season.
