I hunt in Kent co. and the late anterless and spike season is the 4th throght the 17th and so is the youth late season. Do youth have to shoot anterless and spike or does that just apply to the adults?

Looks pretty confusing to me.

Looks pretty confusing to me. Pretty straight forward, kids and adults can hunt spike and doe until the 17th.. Youth can hunt bucks as well. Their special season just happens to run concurrent to the spike/anterless season in Kent county which is new this year. The point of the youth season is to allow the kid to shoot a buck in this case which daddy/mommy is hunting for a doe/spike as well. Should encourage more parents to hunt with their kids. White-tailed Deer Archery Only: October 3-November 6, 2009. No permit required to hunt antlerless deer unless MLD permits have been issued for the property. Bag Limit: 5 deer, no more than 1 buck, all seasons combined. General Season: November 7, 2009-January 3, 2010. Special Late General Season: January 4-17, 2010. Antlerless and Spike deer only. Special Youth-Only Season: Early open season: October 31-November 1, 2009. Late open season: January 4-17, 2010. Bag limits, provision for the take of antlerless deer, and special requirements of the county, shall be as specified for the first 2 days of the general open season. Licensed hunters 16 years of age or younger may hunt deer by any lawful means during this season.

That's the way it looks to me.
Essentially, I can hunt spikes and does. However, my Grandson can hunt legal bucks.
