Four of us from Bulverde made the trip to Dumas to hunt with Tim Ballinger. We had a great time. The weather was perfect, cold morning and chilly afternoon. We hunted some wonderful people from Andrews, Austin, and Lubbock. I think we're hooked. Uh oh. Tim aka Shorthair.  That's me showing off!  Check out this bird dog!  Hunting Dumas requires long walks.  What great weather we had!  A long days work rewarded!

That is awesome....I miss those pheasant hunting days....
Need to get back into it....

I think what I meant to say was that we hunted WITH some wonderful people from Andrews, Austin, and Lubbock. LOL!

Hey I took that 2nd picture. Enjoyed meeting you guys and had a great time chasing pheasants with you four. I am the younger of the two guys you dropped off at the vehicle that had to leave early.

Thanks for taking that picture Mark3. That's always the problem when you have the camera on a trip, pictures are taken of everyone but yourself, so thanks for documenting the fact I actually shot a pheasant. Maybe we'll see you in Dumas next year.

Nice Birds. We hunted just East of there out of Spearman. Can't wait until next year. We are making a trip to Kansas Thanksgiving weekend, and then the next weekend back to the Panhandle.

We hunted around Sherman on our first day. We actually had better results there than closer to Dumas. Those birds were really tough, they didn't give up easily.
